Pelo menos uma vez por mês, vou tentar atualizar as previsões para os indicados ao Oscar 2007... É incrível como em semanas muda tanta coisa! A cada filme que vai estreando e os críticos vão conhecendo de verdade os ditos contenders, uns caem por terra e outros ganham mais e mais no boca-boca.
Dos que mais perderam buzz desde o post de 30/09, o campeão sem dúvida é Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Antes cotado até para melhor filme e diretor, agora é unanimidade entre a crítica que diz que não deve passar da indicação de Cate Blanchett (e olhe lá!). Outros que também caíram foram Rendition e Reservation Road.
Já os que andam ganhando burburinho, destacam-se Into the Wild (Sean Penn já anda ganhando até prêmios de diretor do ano), American Gangster (deve emplacar como filme sério, não só mais um policial de Ridley Scott) e o modesto Juno, que promete revelar de vez a gracinha Ellen Page (ótima em Menina Má.Com).
Algumas mudanças de categorias (protagonista/coadjuvante) afetaram as chances de gente como Benicio Del Toro, Helena Bonham-Carter, Russell Crowe e Charlize Theron.
De resto, segue o trio Atonement, No Country for Old Men e There Will Be Blood na primeira fila. Charlie Wilson’s War e The Kite Runner ainda não estrearam nos EUA e pouco gente se arrisca a falar deles, assim como The Great Debaters, segundo filme como diretor de Denzel Washington, que apareceu de última hora na lista.
